Suitcase Fusion For Mac: How to Download, Install, and Use It

Although you can tell Suitcase to access font files on your hard drive, the safer approach is to let it copy all your fonts into its Font Vault, where only one copy of each font can exist. Besides eliminating duplicates, this also avoids any confusion caused by users moving font files around in the Finder. Fonts are checked for basic corruption as you add them to Suitcase, but Extensis also includes the FontDoctor utility from Morrison SoftDesign. Extensis strongly recommends that you use FontDoctor to clean up your font collection before importing fonts into Suitcase.
I left it for a bit and always did the updates. But the problem didn't solve. Then I decided to take Suitcase fusion off my iMac and loaded all the fonts into FontBook and deleted the duplicated fonts. So far it seemed to work. Emails and websites that show up with question marks look all fine now.

The program's interface gives you a clear view of all your fonts, which can be organized by suitcases, typeface families or individual styles. You can also easily group fonts together thanks to Suitcase's Font Vault, drag and drop them into separate categories, or create nested sets which work best with your projects.
Note: When installing PostScript fonts, drag both the outline font file and bitmap font suitcase to the appropriate folder. (In Mac OS X, font suitcases look and behave like other font files. You can't open them by double-clicking the file as you can in Mac OS 9.)
To use PostScript fonts in Mac OS X, install the bitmap (screen), or the suitcase containing the bitmap fonts, and outline (printer) fonts to the same folder. (Adobe bitmap font files use the font name. The outline files use a shortened, PostScript version of the font name [for example, "Isabe" for the Isabella font].) If an outline font file isn't installed, the font can print incorrectly. If the bitmap font file isn't installed, the font isn't available in the font menu.
To check a font from the Adobe Type Library, select the font file, and choose File > Get Info > General to check the creation date. (If you're using PostScript fonts, check the creation date for each outline and suitcase file.) If the font's creation date is before 1992, a new version of the font could be available.
